Sarah Jane Militello, President of Vernare LLC, founded and directs a successful management consulting firm focused on helping technology businesses to grow. She has advised the startup company clients of Technology Ventures Corporation and served as a consultant to Kaiser Permanente’s Internet Services Group. A noted lecturer on technology innovation and entrepreneurship, Ms. Militello created and delivered the “Idea to Incorporation” course to students at the University of California at Santa Cruz Extension’s Silicon Valley Startup Foundry and is a faculty member in the Graduate Business Program at St. Mary’s College of California where she teaches “Strategic Management of Technology and Innovation” to Executive MBA candidates.
Ms. Militello was featured on the PricewaterhouseCoopers Start up Show as well as the Comcast television program Technogenesis on the topic of venture investment.
Prior to founding Vernare, she was general manager of Agilent Technologies’ global services division of the Life Sciences and Chemical Analysis Group and is a 15 year veteran of Hewlett-Packard Company where she rose to senior marketing and field positions in the computing and medical device and healthcare IT groups. Ms. Militello is an arbitrator for FINRA Dispute Resolution. She is a graduate of the University of Dayton with a BA, cum laude, in Mathematics and Spanish, and earned her MBA at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
